Magnesium is found at significant levels throughout the body. It is involved in a number of reactions including muscle relaxation, blood coagulation, and manufacture of ATP, the body’s principal energy molecule.

Magnesium is vital for efficient circulation, the adrenals, hormones, and pulmonary functions among others. Malic acid crosses the blood-brain barrier easily and binds to aluminum in the brain, preventing an unwelcome build-up of the metal. Furthermore, di-magnesium malate is an excellent chelator. By replacing aluminum with magnesium, it eliminates aluminum from the body, at the same time making magnesium available to neurons.

MagRestore Directions

Per 1,000 lb horse: Each serving supplies 2 g elemental magnesium. The correct scoop weight depends on the selected format:

• Pellets: 1 scoop / serving = 0.52 oz and contains 2 g elemental magnesium.
• Powder: 1 scoop / serving = 10 g / 0.35 oz and contains 2 g elemental magnesium, per the approved 2025 powder label.

• Loading Dose / Performance Horse Dose: 2 scoops with AM and PM rations for ten days or until signs of deficiency diminish. Larger horses can increase dosage to 3 scoops AM and PM. Horses in steady work: stay at this dose.
• Horses in Light Work: 1 scoop AM and 1 scoop PM after ten days at loading dose.

If an animal’s condition worsens or does not improve, stop administration and consult your veterinarian. Avoid feeding MagRestore® simultaneously with ulcer medications, slippery elm, over-the-counter ulcer products, or certain gut-health products, as these may inhibit magnesium absorption. If you are using another supplement thought to interfere with magnesium absorption, feed MagRestore® separately.
